Chantell Alexi has always had a passion for music, however her humble beginnings as a singer didn't start until 2002 at the age of 19, training with various vocal coaches in the styles of Contemporary, Classical and Blues. After fronting a few rock bands and a Blues Duo throughout the early 2000s, Chantell began a solo career in early 2012. With a new-found passion for Country music, she started collaborating with different artists and working on her first solo album. The album 'Road to Redemption' was released in May of 2013 on CD and iTunes. Upon the album's release Chantell released 3 music videos to promote songs off the album. The first Official Music video was for the track 'The Darkest Road', which she wrote with Singer/Songwriter Linda Mizzi, the second video was 'Grandfather's Hat', which was beautifully pieced together and filmed by Ben Kalgovas and the song was co-written by Eliot Reynolds. The last was Chantell's most creative video production for 'The Garden' a dark country song that she filmed along with her then band members, also produced by Ben Kalgovas. Throughout the next several years Chantell started gigging acoustically with Guitarist Steve England, as well as performing with her band and released her second solo Album 'Leather Holster' in 2016, which she wrote and recorded with late guitarist David J Bull. That same year she signed up with C.S Management and released a few singles off her new album including the title track 'Leather Holster', an upbeat and sassy country rock song, and the love ballad 'A Simpler Life'. In 2018 Chantell released the single 'Lucky Girl', which she co-wrote with multiple Golden Guitar award winner Allan Caswell. This song had much success making it to number 4 on the Country Music Radio Charts and earning an award nomination in Mildura that year. The accompanying album 'Forever Changed' was released in 2020 featuring a mix of styles, showing off Chantell's versatility and highlighting the ups and downs of her life at the time. A few more singles were released for this album including 'Don't Know What I'd Do' and 'Crawl', which was released along with another creative music video in 2021, produced by Lyn Taylor. After performing at the 2019, 2020 and 2023 Country Music Festivals and promoting her 3rd album during that time Chantell took a bit of a break from music to focus on her Art Career and Married life, however she can't be held back from her music passion for too long, so she continued writing songs in the background before recording 2 singles at the end of 2025 with Golden Guitar winner and well respected Country Music Guitarist Lawrie Minson. Now in 2026 Chantell is ready to get back on the horse, so to speak, and release these 2 new songs starting with the quirky song 'Testosterone'.
The second 'Every Bonnie Needs Her Clyde', will come later this year.
